What are we testing?

1

Thyroid

Why test it?

Your thyroid is a small gland in your neck. It produces hormones that help control your metabolism and how your body consumes its energy.

An underactive thyroid doesn’t make enough of your thyroid hormones - this is called hypothyroidism. If you make too much of the thyroid hormone it is called an overactive thyroid or hyperthyroidism.

Symptoms can range from tiredness, weight gain or loss, to mood problems.

What it affects

Energy, Weight , Mood, Long term health

2

Iron

Why test it?

Iron is a vital nutrient responsible for facilitating the transport of oxygen throughout your body. Low iron levels can have a negative impact on your energy levels, sleep quality, and physical fitness. Excessive iron levels can pose risks to your heart health.

What it affects

Energy, Fitness, Sleep

3

Diabetes (Blood Sugar)

Why test it?

The HbA1c test reveals your average blood sugar levels over the past few months. Unlike a standard blood sugar test, this test isn't influenced by short-term changes, like a recent sugary snack.

A good result indicates effective blood sugar control, even if you've occasionally had high blood sugar levels.

If your result is high, it may suggest you have pre-diabetes or diabetes.

What it affects

Energy, Weight, Long-term health, Sleep

4

Testosterone

Why test it?

Testosterone is a sex hormone (androgen) found in both males and females. It contributes to muscle and bone strength, good energy levels, good sex drive and fertility.

While both females and males produce testosterone, males produce it in significantly higher quantities. Testosterone levels naturally decrease with age, but factors like liver disease and weight can also lead to lower levels.

Low testosterone in males can result in fatigue, reduced sex drive, weight gain, depression, and low self-esteem. In females, low testosterone can cause these symptoms and irregular periods.

What it affects

Energy, Mood, Weight, Sleep, Fitness, Long-term Health

5

Vitamins & Minerals
