What can you learn from this test?
Anti-Müllerian Hormone is a hormone produced by the ovarian follicles, indicating your ovarian reserve – how many eggs you have left. These levels start decreasing naturally in your mid-20s. In younger women, low AMH suggests fewer remaining follicles and a smaller ovarian reserve.
Low AMH can be caused by conditions like Crohn's Disease, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), or premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). While an AMH test can't directly predict fertility or conception time, it's useful for family planning, egg freezing, or IVF considerations.
